Podcasting is just becoming more and more popular! There’s a podcast out there for almost every topic you can possibly think of. Each of these topics has its own target audience; there are even podcasts out there to help educate and entertain your kids.

Besides the educational benefits, it’s great to introduce a new medium for children to learn from and keep them entertained, especially on long road trips! But finding a podcast that your kids can enjoy isn’t always the easiest task.

So, in this post we’ve decided to help you out a little by sharing our 17 favorite educational podcasts that your kids will love!

The Show About Science

Age Range: 3 – 9 years

The Show About Science is hosted by Nate, an adorable kid that loves all things science, whether it’s chemistry, climate change or even human brains.

Nate created this podcast when he was only 5 years old and it has definitely become a success. He interviews a fun new guest with every episode.

Age Range: 3 – 9 years

Hosted by a Dad who specialized in music education and his two Children. Every episode is only around 10 minutes long but is more than enough to provide a little entertainment.

Age Range: 6 – 12 years

With more than 70 episodes, it’s no wonder Pants On Fire is so many kids favorite podcast. We learn from a young age that people lie, whether it’s a small lie or a really big one. This podcast helps teach kids how to recognize lies by making a fun game out of it. Each week they have a kid face down two adults, one a true expert and the other a lair whose pants are on fire.

Age Range: 8 – 14 years

Created and hosted by a 4 Emmy winning journalist, Stephanie Kelmar. KiDNuZ is a daily podcast, each episode is only 5 minutes long but is filled with the top stories of the day. Although they discuss the daily news it’s important to remember that they created this podcast for kids, this means no murder talk, terrorism, assault, or any other gruesome stories that might haunt the kids afterward.

If you’ve been looking for a podcast to help with bedtime stories or just something for your kids to listen to while you drive too or from school then this is the perfect podcast for you.
